Why is Damien Hirst playing hard to get?

Alright, so Damien Hirst's newest show "Beyond Belief" was at White Cube in London this past weekend, and I am having issues with Hirst's approach to the whole event.
First of all, the only reason most people went to this show was to see the dimond encrusted skull, which turned out only to be available to persons "with tickets" that no one knew about!! Apparently this skull is worth like 13 million, and that is not saying what some art lovers WOULD pay for it. I bet the price of this piece would go up X2 at auction. Anyways, Stuart got an invite to this show yet that still wasn't enough to gain access to the ever elusive "room with the skull" Whooooooooo.

Second, I have never understood promoters who think it is a good idea to maintain a thick line of people outside the event to make it seem better than it is. What is even better is, all the people waiting to get in, were served free Japanese beer. All this does is make people anxious and pissed off and drunk. I am not sure I would have had the patience to wait in and for such nonsence. I am not the type who feels comfortable waiting in a stupid line, being photographed for press, where you don't gain access to what you came to see!

It sounds to me like Mr. Hirst needs to go back to his roots, remember where he was, and remember that art is for the people, not for the select few that can afford to pay over £25 million for "superstition." He should be happy people like him at all, and after that kind of show I am sure lots are a little less interested.
